There is something about large families with ties to their ethnic backgrounds that I absolutely adore. The controlled chaos that is the interaction between one another. The emotion that spills from their bodies as you can tell how much they care about one another. The fact that no matter how much stress, (and in the bridal suite prior to the ceremony. . . there is lots of it) these families always seem to bend, not break. Nectaria, Jeremy, and their families are no exception to this rule.

From the start of the day, this one had everything in it. A little chaos, a little emotion, a few nerves, and even an off the cuff political joke (explained in the clip). Never the less, with all the challenges, emotions, and quirks a big family can bring to a wedding day, this one performed flawlessly with a lot of love in the process.

Nectaria and Jeremy were married at the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Long Beach with the reception at the Long Beach Hyatt. When I went back through the footage, I found the toasts to be so fun, yet compelling that I had to share with everyone, and so here it is, the highlights from thier special day.

A very large thanks to Tony and Marion from Elegant Photography. Always a pleasure to work with! Couldn’t ask for a better Husband and Wife team!

With the new year, comes new weddings, and with the new weddings, well. . . . comes some VERY fun edits. This one definately stands out so far as not only incredibly entertaining to shoot, but almost twice as fun to edit!!!

From the moment we arrived at the Hyatt in Huntington Beach, I knew this one was going to be spectacular. The energy in the bridal suite was unbelievable and Melissa was glowing from minute one.

Melissa and David met before the ceremony so that we could get all the good stuff with sunlight still around. Brandon Kidd setup a spectacular first glance shot that was a moment the B&G will soon not forget!

For those of you who actually read the posts, not just watch the clips. . . good for you, because I have to preface this one by warning you that this is not your everyday wedding highlight. . . Quite the contrary, so I hope you are ready. LOL. . . if you had already pressed play, I suppose you would be able to decipher that for yourself. . . . hmmmm

In any case, a mastodonic shout out to Brandon Kidd from Brandon Kidd Photography. You will see his images sprinkled throughout the clip, and he never disappoints.

Special thank you to Jennifer Johnson from OC’s Finest for keeping everything on time and being there at every moment for us crazy vendors. . . . and a very special thank you as well to Joe Paxton from Atmosphere Entertainment. What an amazing job he did with the lighting at the venue. . . it really popped in the footage!
Without any further delay. . . here it is. . . hope you enjoy! – Steve

An hour and twenty minutes southeast of Orange County lies the quiet city of Fallbrook. Nestled up against a hill is a true gem of a resort called Pala Mesa; home to golf, relaxation, and the Wedding Day of Joe and Katie.

We arrived a couple hours before the ceremony to find the bridal room already in full force as the girls rushed to bring final touches together. Quietly sat Katie, almost meditating on the ceremony to come. There was most certainly a pleasant calm about her, that definitely showed on film.

And then there was Joe, with Blue Label and Black Tie, ready to receive his bride. Nothing but smiles the entire day, this couple made it too easy, and. . . well. . . the rest is for your eyes to feast on. Hope you enjoy!

But, before you watch, a couple huge shout outs! Thank you to Kendra Koenig with Pala Mesa Resort. She kept everything on time and ready to go for us. She most certainly is worth her weight in gold. Thanks to Hugh Swanke from A New Song Mobile Entertainment. Hugh kept the party rockin’ into the wee hours.

And last, but certainly not least, a HUGE shout out to Brandon Kidd from Brandon Kidd Photography. His eye for photography is flawless and I just had to ask him to shoot me some photos for this highlight reel. So, all the stills you see in this piece, are from his lens to your eyes. Hope you enjoy!!!

LOL, I keep receiving thank you’s from parents (which is a great thing) and I can’t help but share these because it just goes to show how important great wedding cinema can be! This one came from Katie’s mother:

While it’s not my policy to post both a Same Day Edit and Wedding Day Highlights from the same shoot, with Steve and Kristin, I simply couldn’t resist.

Combine the perfect venue with the perfect couple and you end up with oodles (is that a word???) of  footage, and why not share????
Check it out!

Just an update, here is a very sweet thank you card we received in the mail today from the Newlyweds!
