>Traditions. . .
Every family has them, and some traditions have been passed on for centuries. Every culture has an ancient rite of passage and many of them take place on the wedding day.
The Korean PaeBaek ritiual is one in which the groom’s family formally accepts the bride into their home. As modern times have changed and most of the time the newlyweds don’t move in with the groom’s parents, so to has the ritual changed to usually include the parents from both sides. Regardless of the updates to the ritual, is still has deep roots in Korean culture and we were thrilled to be a part of it with Namsil and Jung on their big day.
With this trailer, I thought I would take a fusion-like approach mixing in elements from the PaeBaek as well as the modern day ceremony. With both elements being such a large part of their day, how could I not include the footage from both ceremonies?
You may be wondering about the title of this Blog post, but just watch the trailer, and you’ll get the idea ๐
A special thanks to Esther Kim from
